Created by Law No. 2013/010 of 24 July 2013 on civil aviation, the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority CCAA also known as Authority Aeronautique is a Public Administrative institution under the Ministry of Transport. Responsible for the supervision and development of civil aviation in Cameroon, the CCAA has as objective:
To guarantee the safety of air navigation, safety of aircraft operations, as well as the security of civil aviation;
• To organize the exercise of civil aviation activities;
• To ensure rational and efficient use of aviation infrastructure
• Among the CCAA structures, there is the Directorate of Air Transport and Regulation which is in charge of the development of the national air transport policy, and coordinating the development of regulations regarding the exercise of the activity of civil aviation, it also has within its remit:
o To participate in the negotiation of bilateral and multilateral aviation agreements.
o Develop economic studies and produce statistics to monitor developments in the sector.
o Enforcing of the rules on competition, air transport contracts, the conditions of transport and air passenger rights, etc.
