This audit, which took place from 30 November to 04 December 2020, attests to the quality of the services provided by the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority in the areas of civil aviation safety supervision for the headquarters perimeter and the provision of air navigation services for Bafoussam airport.

For five days the auditors from Côte d'Ivoire and Cameroon tested the procedures, best practices and skills of CCAA employees at its headquarters and Bafoussam-Bamengoum airport. And the latter declared their satisfaction by recommending the issuance of an ISO 9001-2015 certificate for each of these sites.
The successful passing of an ISO 9001/2015 certificate for the perimeter of the CCAA headquarters with the supervision of civil aviation safety in Cameroon as its field of application, is a sufficient demonstration of the capacity of the personnel of the Directorate of Air Safety (DSA) and all the ancillary structures and supports to provide services in terms of audit inspections, accompaniment and resolution of air safety problems in accordance with the expectations of ICAO; but also the specific needs of users of the air safety sector of the Cameroonian Civil Aviation.

And the ISO 9001/2015 certificate for the perimeter of Bafoussam-Bamougoum airport with the provision of air navigation services as its field of application attests that a quality management system for the said service is in place, in accordance with ICAO expectations. And that the latter is recognised as being capable of providing meteorological information services, aeronautical, rescue and fire-fighting (SLI) services in accordance with the expectations of the users of the sky and likely to bring satisfaction to all the users of this airport.
It should be noted that three minor non-conformities and three areas for improvement were noted for the system at Bafoussam airport; and four non-conformities and three areas for improvement for the safety supervision system during this audit.
In short, ISO 9001-2015 certification is an international recognition of a company's know-how and good practices. It attests to the company's ability to meet the requirements of the seven chapters of the ISO standard, as well as to the company's ability to take into account all the needs of its relevant stakeholders and its ability to satisfy its customers.

The CCAA's task now is to maintain this certification during the follow-up audits that will take place each year and to perpetuate its good practices by extending the fields of certification to the company's other activities.

This certification is the result of a quality approach initiated by the General Management since May 1st, 2016, with the aim of giving quality assurance to the CCAA's services through an organisational management that adapts to current governmental and international policies.
The certificate will be awarded following the sending of the corrective action plan relating to the non-conformities and areas for improvement identified during the audit.
