The said certificates were handed over to the CCAA on July 21, 2021 in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Transport and many actors of the civil aviation sector during an official ceremony that was organized at the headquarters of the institution.

The official presentation of these certificates comes after two certification audits conducted respectively at the headquarters and at the Bafoussam-bamougoum airport, by international auditors of the certification body called SGS. The CCAA was thus recommended for the issuance of an ISO 9001/2015 certificate for the perimeter of the headquarters of the CCAA with the scope of supervision of civil aviation safety in Cameroon; and an ISO 9001/2015 certificate for the perimeter of the Bafoussam-Bamoungoum airport with the provision of air navigation services as its scope.
This positive sanction is therefore the result of a quality approach initiated by the Directorate General since May 1, 2016, with the objective of giving quality assurance to the services of the CCAA, through the identification and satisfaction of the needs and expectations of all users of civil aviation in Cameroon.
Obtaining an ISO 9011/2015 certification is now a guarantee of international recognition of the quality management system of these two CCAA entities. It certifies that the management system implemented by the CCAA in these two structures has been assessed and found to comply with the requirements of ISO 9001/2015.
This event crowns four years of work and organization during which the staff and the Top Management were mobilized to achieve a common objective: to demonstrate their capacity and their commitment to deliver services of excellence.
In her welcome speech, the Director General also gave a retrospective on the genesis, the development and the implementation of a Quality Management System within the CCAA. She also thanked the staff for their commitment and support to this large-scale project of strategic importance. She then invited the other actors to make continuous improvement to maintain the course of certification.
The representative of the Minister of Transport, Mr. MVEIMANI SOMBO AMBA, Secretary General of the said ministry, congratulated the CCAA for the primacy of this initiative in the sector and invited all the actors of the sector present to apply themselves to this quality approach. And, especially to work so that the Cameroon destination remains safe and sought after.
The two certificates were handed over by the certification body SGS under the acclamations of all.
