Board of Directors approves 2021 accounts of the CCAA

The 50th Ordinary and 50th Extraordinary Meetings of the Board of Directors of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) were held from 16 to 17 June 2022 in Yaounde at the premises of its Training School.
Mr. GHOUMO Jean-Pierre Robins, administrator representing the Presidency of the Republic was elected by his peers to chair the two sessions in the absence of Mr. NKOUE NKONGO Paul MAXIMIN, Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mrs. AVOMO ASSOUMOU Paule épse KOKI, assisted by Mr. ALLABIRA Mamadou, Deputy Director General, reported on items on the agenda.
At the end the meeting, several resolutions were adopted for the smooth running of the CCAA. The administrative account, the management account, the annual performance report for 2021 and the revised performance project for 2022 were approved.
More so, the Director General was authorized to sign a memorandum of understanding with a partner for the realization of more detailed studies for a project to construct solar voltaic power plants at some airports; to continue searching for financing from banks for the project of construction of the CCAA airport complex infrastructure; And to establish partnerships with civil aviation state and international organizations for the provision of training at the CCAA’s Training School. The report of the specialized financial controller for the execution of the 2021 budget of the CCAA was also presented.
Moreover, the Board expressed its satisfaction for the activities carried out by the Directorate General (DG) since the last meeting and strongly encouraged the DG to continue with proactive initiatives that contribute to the development of the civil aviation sector in Cameroon. All of that, in accordance with the orientations of the Ministry of Transport. The Board also congratulated the Directorate General (DG) for the resilience still being observed within the company since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
