CCAA: Airport Security Officers’ Selection Competition underway

The Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) launched this competition for the eventual selection of 106 airport security officers to strengthen the implementation of security measures in airports.

The first stage of this competition started on April 17, 2023, at the Presidential Guard (PG) camp in Obili, Yaounde, with the reception, identification of candidates and summary of medical examinations.

More than 2,000 candidates presented themselves at the Yaounde examination center and another large number will go through the same stages in the Douala (Douala naval base) and Garoua (4th BIR camp) centres on 24 April 2023 and 2 May 2023 respectively.

After this physical stage, only those who are in the predefined quota will take part in the written test, followed by the interview and finally the thorough medical examination which costs 25,000 FCFA.

It should be noted that once recruited, this batch of SOAs alongside the older ones who are already on the ground (Yaounde, Douala, Garoua and Bafoussam) will play a major role in the implementation of security measures, especially the screening of passengers and cabin and hold luggage. All this is to ensure the safety of people and goods in the airport area.

Once again, the CCAA is at work to fully assume one of its missions as Cameroon's sky policeman. This will make the skies more attractive.
