Air transport: prioritizing quality of services offered to users
This is the main focus of the 11th forum, which brings together key stakeholders in Cameroon’s air transport sector. The forum commenced on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the CCAA's Training School in Douala.

On that rainy morning, various players and partners in the air transport chain, along with airlines, gathered to evaluate the quality of services provided to air transport users in Cameroon.
Organized by the CCAA, the regulatory body of the civil aviation sector in Cameroon, the meeting aims to continually enhance the quality of air transport services. Mr. AKKUM Ritzentelar, Head of the Air Transport Division (DTA), represented the Director General of the CCAA and highlighted the complexity of the issues, which involve multiple stakeholders within the air transport chain, including partner administrations.

Over the next four days, the focus will be on identifying the root causes of any shortcomings in the quality of services and finding effective solutions to enhance air transport services in Cameroon.
On the first day, discussions included reviewing the minutes from the last forum, assessing the implementation of its recommendations, evaluating the evolution of service quality, and formulating new recommendations.
Further discussions will cover the management of ground handling slots, the status of ground handling services, airport facilitation measures, security infrastructure and equipment, environmental regulations at airports, protection of passenger rights, and advancements in statistical data collection.
Attendees are expected to engage in sincere and in-depth discussions to foster a culture of continuous improvement in service quality.
The work of this 11th edition will conclude on Friday, November 1, 2024, with the adoption of the final report and recommendations.
