Exchange of New Year's greetings with Dr Ngolle III Patrice Emmanuel, CCAA CEO.
The day's packed programme included the speech of the MINT Secretary General, who proudly reviewed the significant actions and events that marked 2024 within the Ministry of Transport.
The minister then set out ambitious guidelines for the future of air transport in Cameroon.
Cameroon's airports will be transformed into modern, safe, and appealing hubs in the air transport sub-sector. Services at these airports will be enhanced with an emphasis on quality, speed, and efficiency, allowing them to serve as symbols of Cameroonian hospitality.
In this respect, he urged the Cameroon Airport Company (ADC S.A) to continue the certification process for Douala International Airport to ensure that it complies with international standards, to make the airport more competitive and more attractive to international airlines.
For the national airline Camair-Co, strengthening its performance and influence and continuing its efforts to obtain TCO (Third Country Operator) certification will enable it to serve European airspace.
The Minister of Transport also invited the national airline to fully take advantage of the air agreements signed with other countries, such as the one with Qatar signed on January 16, 2025, in Doha.
On another front, in 2025 preparatory studies for constructing a world-class airport would be undertaken jointly by the CCAA, the ADC and the MINT to position Cameroon as a regional air hub, as desired by the Head of State soon.

Presentation of New Year's greetings by Mrs Paule Assoumou KOKI, CEO of the CCAA.
The Minister of Transport also praised the dynamism of the CCAA and invited its Director General, Mrs Paule Avomo Assoumou Koki, to continue her efforts to achieve ever more ambitious objectives. Thus in 2025, the focus should be on:
- Accelerating the rehabilitation of the secondary airports of Kribi, Tiko and Bertoua;
- Making the most of the bilateral air services agreement with Qatar;
- Strengthening the supervision of civil aviation safety and security, in particular through the certification of Douala airport to serve international airspace and the supervision of players in the sector;
- Implementation of the National Civil Aviation Security Programme (PNSAC);
- Continuing staff training efforts.
These are the priorities for 2025, a reflection of the government's determination to boost the civil aviation sector's performance and improve the quality of services offered to users.
