Operational excellence of the CCAA confirmed once again

After a 10-day audit by SGS, the CCAA received a positive recommendation for a multisite ISO 9001:2015 certificate. This certification covers civil aviation safety, security, aeronautical services, and aeronautical training.
Thus, from February 9 to 18, 2026, the CCAA successfully underwent an ISO 9001:2015 certification audit, which notably included an extension of the scope to the airports of Maroua, Ngaoundéré, Bafoussam, and the Training School, thereby complementing the certificate already obtained in 2021 for Bafoussam Airport and the headquarters of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA).

The certified domains are:

· Supervision services for civil aviation safety
· Supervision services for civil aviation security
· Provision of aeronautical services and delivery of training by the EFO/CCAA
This multisite certificate thus recognizes the continuous and relentless efforts of the CCAA in its pursuit of managerial performance and operational excellence, in its missions of supervising civil aviation and providing aeronautical services to air transport users.
The exercise, based on sampling, was carried out at the following sites:

-CCAA headquarters
-CCAA Training School (EFO)
-Airport commands of:
-Maroua
-Ngaoundéré
-Bafoussam
Despite sometimes difficult security conditions and limited financial resources, airport personnel demonstrated professionalism and commitment, resulting in a confirmed observation of operational control (provision of air navigation services, provision of airport security services), supported by strong engagement from the general management.

At headquarters, the auditors noted the alignment and coordination of operational activities with the vision of the Director General, in line with the SND30 strategy, a step-by-step planning and evaluation mechanism. They praised the efforts to ensure coherence and improvement of systems.
For the few minor discrepancies identified, the CCAA was invited to implement corrective actions within regulatory deadlines and encouraged to maintain its improvement momentum and commitment to efficiency and effectiveness.
