The flight was preceded by two CAMAIR-CO flights from Douala. It was a large crowd consisting of political, administrative, religious and traditional authorities, elites from the Northwest region in attendance to witness the event that was rich in sounds and colours.
After Bafoussam last year, this is a destination comes to add to the internal flight plan of the national airline. The commercial aspect of this airport is managed by the Cameroon Airports Company (ADC) and the technical side is being taken care of by the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (communication, weather, fire fighting service and power supply through a power plant). During this ceremony, the Minister of Transport urged ADC S.A and CCAA respectively to assure maintenance of airport equipment and infrastructure and to ensure the safety and security of the airspace that enlarges the domestic services of CAMAIR-CO.
