A table security crisis management exercise dubbed "Wouri II" was organized on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Douala International Airport.

For 6 hours and with the coordination of aviation security experts, 13 crises scenarios at the Douala International Airport were simulated on an impromptu basis, to test the responsiveness of operational units and administrations which are required to intervene in the resolution of security crises in Civil Aviation.

This exercise was placed under the coordination of the Secretary General of the Littoral region, representative of the governor, accompanied by Madam the Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA).

The exercise allowed for the evaluation of the ability of the actors to organize a crisis exercise, to trigger alerts, to set up crisis management structures, to put up contingency measures and to properly respond to crisis.
Speaking at the event, Madame the Director General, thanked and invited the various stakeholders -the ADC, the police, the Gendarmerie, the local administration and the staff of the CCAA to work harder to improve airport security in Cameroon, an asset on the eve of the organization of the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019.
