On 1st June 2020, the Director General of the Aviation Authority signed circular N°0000009/C/CCAA/DG providing operational guidelines for this management. This document provides recommendations to airlines, airport operators and airport service providers on how to safely and gradually restore passenger transport in this time of pandemic.
On Monday May 25, 2020 the first Air France flight AF982 landed at the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport where all passengers arriving from Paris were managed along a carefully planned and supervised sanitary circuit within the airport.

A Cameroonian delegation led by the Minister of Transport held consultations which led to the signing of a bilateral air agreement between Cameroon and the United Arab Emirates on March 10, 2020 in Dubai.
