Air transport: path finding exploration for the revival of CAMAIR-CO
On the sidelines of the ongoing work of the 40th ICAO General Assembly, the Minister of Transport was received by his counterpart from Qatar on Wednesday 25 September 2019.
The exchanges between the two ministers mainly focused on the revival of the national airline Camair-Co. Thus, points on the densification of the fleet, the training of flight and technical personnel, the opening of a maintenance center, technical support and the opening of the capital of the company were mentioned.
In addition, other topics such as the development of Cameroonian civil aviation and cooperation in the maritime, port and meteorological sub-sectors were also discussed.
At the end of the exchanges, Qatar's Transport Minister noted that the Emir of Qatar is willing to accompany Cameroon in its structuring projects. It is in this context that the arrival of a delegation from Qatar is announced in the coming days for the needs assessment of the star of Cameroon and, in view of the intensification of cooperation between our two countries.
