The prestigious courtroom of the Court of First Instance of Yaoundé administrative center served as venue Tuesday, March 13, 2019 for the swearing-in ceremony of the new security and safety inspectors in the presence of the President of that jurisdiction.

Possessing the same quality as police officers but of a distinct nature, the Corps of Civil Aviation Inspectors was set up in accordance with the provisions of the law governing the Civil Aviation regime in Cameroon.

The swearing-in ceremony of these new inspectors thus meets a regulatory obligation imposed by the Inspectors' mission to control and supervise airport operators and managers in view to ensuring strict compliance with international civil aviation standards and recommended practices.

During this solemn ceremony, the Attorney General evoked the missions assigned to the Inspectors while emphasizing the qualities required by law to perform these tasks, including the criteria of competence, impartiality and moral integrity.

After the reading of the texts and guidelines, each of the new Inspectors raised his right hand and pronounced the formula: "I solemnly swear to faithfully fulfill the functions entrusted to me as Inspector .... , to exercise them impartially, rigorously, with probity and fairness, to observe the professional discipline, to render fair account of it and to keep professional secrecy in all circumstances ".

The president of the appeal court took note of the oath and urged the newly promoted to keep to the the full extent of their mission.
