NOTICE OF RECRUITMENT OF FIVE (05) AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLERS

The Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA), a public institution responsible for the supervision and development of civil aviation in Cameroon, and the operation of non-licensed aeronautical services, brings to the attention of the public, the availability of five (05) air traffic controller positions  vacancies in its organization. These air traffic controllers will be responsible in particular for:

ensuring the safety of air traffic, through the regulation of aircraft movements on aerodromes and their areas of approaches from the control tower; informing aerodrome users about the weather conditions, the State of the platform, the work in progress...;alerting and/or assisting aircraft in difficulty;working in collaboration with other air traffic services on the platform, as well as with neighbouring centres

PROFILE REQUIRED

Be a Cameroonian aged between 21 years and 35 years of age as of December 31, 2019;

Holder of the GCE Advance level certificate in the sciences and an air traffic controller diploma or equivalent diploma, issued by an accredited organization or school according to ICAO procédures;

Demonstrate a good mastery of French and English (read, written, spoken);  

Good knowledge of the tools and systems of air traffic control, regulation and procedures, aeronautical phraseology, and the organisation of airspace;

Good knowledge of the procedures, the aeronautical phraseology, the Organization of the airspace, and the regulation;

Good physical and mental health; 

Capacity to analyse, anticipate and decide;

Responsive and know how to keep your cool in a stressful or emergency situation. .../...

Professional experience and/or internships in an air navigation control body would be an asset.

APPLICATION FILE

Candidates ' files must include:

A stamped job application addressed to the Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority;

A certified copy of birth certificate;

A certified copy of national identity card;

A duly signed and dated curriculum vitae;

A class 3 medical certificate/regulatory medical certificate;

A certified photocopy of the required diploma, accompanied by the equivalence or receipt of the filing of the equivalence application;

A certificate of presentation of the original diploma;

A criminal record extract (Bulletin No. 3).

NB: all copies, photocopies, and certified certifications, as well as certificates and extracts, must be less than three months old.

Screening of candidates on case studies;

Written tests;

Interviews hiring.

FILING DEADLINE

Application files must be deposited at the CCAA headquarters’ mail office, by April 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.

Incomplete, non-compliant, or untimely application files, will not be reviewed. Only candidates shortlisted after the evaluation of the files and off which the list will be published, will be summoned to conduct tests and interviews.
