MINT prescribes operating procedure for air transport actors

The Minister of Transport, Mr. NGALLE Bibehe Ernest Massena signed on July 15, 2020 in Yaounde, the circular letter n°_/lc/mint/sg/dac/cse relating to the operational guidelines for air transport in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Indeed, in view of the revival of air activities and with the gradual opening of Cameroonian airspace, a set of response measures are being put in place. They are aimed at enabling the safe resumption of domestic and international air transport of passengers and cargo.
The said circular letter sets out the guidelines to be followed by air transport actors, with a view to ensuring a sanitary environment conducive to the protection of passengers and staff of the entire aviation industry against the COVID-19 pandemic, while strengthening the confidence of travellers.
The priority is the measures to be taken in the context of airport management, passenger management, airline management, freight management and the measures envisaged in the event of non-compliance with the directives laid down.
