Closing of the Forum on the quality of services offered to air transport users

After four days of intense exchanges, this meeting of air transport stakeholders ended on November 11, 2022, in Douala with several recommendations being made to the various participants.
Mr. AKKUM RITZENTELAR CHINANGA, Head of the Division of Air Transport, representing the Director General of Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) presided at the closing ceremony and thanked the representatives of the airlines, the Douala international airport manager, the air navigation services provider, and all other partner administrations who were present for their multiple contributions during this meeting.
He also expressed his satisfaction with the quality of the work of this exchange platform, a guarantee for the continuous improvement of the quality of services offered to air transport users in Cameroon.
At the end of the work, participants made a number of recommendations to the actors of the air transport chain. 
These include the renovation of the Douala airport nameplate; the improvement of the collaboration of the oil pool with the various administrations present on the platform and the respect of security measures; the continuation of the fight against all unorthodox practices perceptible within the administrations on the platforms; the involvement of airport Commanders in the coercive implementation of the DG/CCAA's circular on the subject; the implementation of the airport environmental management plan and the increase of green spaces, in order to reduce the carbon footprint; the eradication of the proliferation of illegal activities around airports. To this end, therefore, the CCAA must update the file of security companies operating in Cameroonian airports.
