This was during the 51st ordinary meeting and the 52nd extraordinary session of the Board of Directors of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) which were held respectively on 22 and 23 December 2022 in the premises of the CCAA Training School in Nsimalen (Yaounde).
Before the start of the two-day session, a minute's silence was observed in memory of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr NKOUE NKONGO Paul Maximin, who passed away on the morning of the 22nd of December 2022 in Yaounde. A fine builder who was appointed on the 23rd of November 2010 to this position.
Thereafter, the proceedings were conducted under the chairmanship of Mr GHOUMO Jean Pierre, Administrator representing the Presidency of the Republic, Chairman of the said sessions in the absence of the deceased Chairman of the Board. Mrs AVOMO ASSOUMOU Paule épse KOKI, assisted by Mr ALLABIRA Mamadou, Deputy Director General, reported on the matters on the agenda.
At the end of the meeting, several resolutions were taken for the smooth running of the CCAA. Thus, the Annual Performance Project of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) was approved and the budget for the year 2023 adopted in Revenue and Expenditure at the sum of 64,557,542,221 (sixty-four billion five hundred and fifty-seven million five hundred and forty-two thousand two hundred and twenty-one CFA francs.
During the presentations, it was also revealed that there is a slight improvement observed in this post-Covid 19 period within the CCAA, due to the recovery of the civil aviation sector. It should be noted, however, that the CCAA's resources (mainly made up of aeronautical fees) have still not reached the pre-pandemic level.
Nevertheless, in order to increase the level of performance already achieved in the past, the CCAA is focusing its priorities in 2023 in the areas of civil aviation oversight, aeronautical service provision, air transport development and governance. To this end, several major projects and studies will be undertaken in 2023 at our airports for the benefit of the people.

In this vein, the Board of Directors expressed its satisfaction with the activities carried out by the General Management since the last meeting and warmly congratulated and encouraged it to pursue proactive initiatives that contribute to the development of the civil aviation sector in Cameroon in accordance with the orientations of the Ministry of Transport.
