Meeting between the Directors General of the civil aviation authorities of Cameroon and South Korea

On the sidelines of the ICAO Global Symposium on Implementation Support held from May 30 to June 1, 2023, in Seoul, a meeting was held on May 31, 2023 between the Directors General of the Civil Aviation Authorities of Cameroon and South Korea.
The purpose of this meeting was to review cooperation between the two countries in the field of civil aviation.
Mrs. Paule Assoumou Koki, Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA), noted the excellent cooperation between Cameroon and South Korea in several sectors. In the field of civil aviation, she welcomed the constant support provided by the government of the Republic of Korea for the development of the skills of Cameroonian professionals through the provision of various training scholarships.
For his part, Mr. Kim Yeonggook, Director General of the Korean Civil Aviation Office (KOCA), welcomed Cameroon's renewed support for the election of South Korea as a member of the ICAO Council. He also expressed his satisfaction with the efforts made by KOCA to improve the civil aviation system in Cameroon.
The two senior officials then discussed the prospects for cooperation, including the exchange of best practices for the digitization of civil aviation supervision processes and the establishment of a bilateral air services agreement between the two countries. The meeting ended on an optimistic note, with the hope of strengthening technical cooperation between the two administrations.
