The Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) convened a meeting on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at its Training School to approve flight schedules for the coming 2024 summer season for airlines operating in Cameroon.
Collaborative dialogue
Representatives from the Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, the Ministry of Transport, ASECNA, the Cameroon Airport Company (ADC), and all regular airlines operating in Cameroon attended the meeting. The Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) approved all 17 flight schedules submitted for review.
The consultation was conducted per the provisions of Order No. 00419/MINT/DAC of May 14, 1999, which outlines the procedures for approving schedules of regular international air services operated by foreign airlines.
The Head of the Air Transport Division at the CCAA, representing the Director General, took the opportunity to remind the airlines of the Director General's concern about the quality of service offered to passengers, given the recent increase in complaints received by the Aviation Authority.

Participants mobilised for a successful season
The airlines were also called upon to respect the allocated time slots and to cooperate fully with CCAA inspectors during inspections.
It is important to note that the summer season refers to the seven-month summer flight schedule. According to IATA, this period runs from the first Sunday after the last Saturday in October to the Friday before the last Saturday in March. The 2024 IATA Summer Season will start on Sunday, March 31, and end on October 26, 2024.
