The entire staff of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA), from its headquarters and across all airport platforms, went to the polls January 13, 2026, to elect their representatives in accordance with the regulations in force. A significant turnout was observed, accompanied by scrupulous adherence to electoral standards at all sites.
A total of 935 voters were eligible to elect 23 staff representatives and their alternates for a two-year term (2026–2028).

Under the coordination of Mr. SAMA Muvah Yella, Director of General Administration, polling stations opened at 8:00 a.m. to welcome staff. From Yaoundé-Nsimalen International Airport to Garoua, including Douala, Bafoussam, Maroua, and Ngaoundéré, employees dutifully participated in the electoral process with full discipline until the scheduled closing at 4:00 p.m.

Subsequently, the counting of votes was conducted in public to ensure the total transparency of the ballot.

It should be noted that all data is being centralized at the headquarters, pending the publication of the official results within 48 hours.

For the Directorate General, these elections are of paramount importance as they facilitate the maintenance of constructive bipartite dialogue, a guarantor of a serene social climate, and the foundation of the institution's performance.

Once elected, the 23 staff representatives will be tasked with several missions, notably representing the aspirations of the workforce, and:
Presenting grievances related to working conditions;
Proposing ideas to improve organization and efficiency;
Issuing opinions on social measures and negotiating collective agreements.

This renewal will undoubtedly support the CCAA in successfully implementing its numerous upcoming projects.
