41st ICAO Assembly: Cameroonian delegation meets AIRBUS in Montreal

The delegation was received by Messrs Marc Hamy, Vice President of Corporate Affairs of AIRBUS, and Pierre CARDIN, Senior Vice President of Public Affairs of AIRBUS on 30 September 2022 in their Montreal office.
Led by the Minister of Transport, Jean Ernest Massena NGALLE BIBEHE, the delegation comprised of Mrs. Paule AVOMO ASSOUMOU, née KOKI, Director General of the Aviation Authority, Mr. Thomas OWONA ASSOUMOU, Director General of Cameroon Airports, Mr. Jean Christophe ELLA NGUEMA, Director General of Camair-Co, and Mr. ZOA ETUNDI, Permanent Representative of Cameroon to ICAO.
During the exchanges, the Cameroonian side presented the national airline Camair-Co and its development prospects. Then, the two parties talked about the environmental projects on which the Aeronautical Authority is about to engage in research, notably the recycling of aircraft and biofuel production. And Marc Hamy indicated that AIRBUS is very committed in these areas because they constitute the problem of aviation and their institution would be happy to work with Cameroon on these points.
In the end, Mr. Hamy was delighted with the meeting and assured of the possibilities of partnership with the national company and in some other specific areas of civil aviation. He promised to communicate contacts to this effect.
