It was on Thursday, July 31, 2025, that these officers from the Zimbabwe Staff College Joint Command and Staff Force paid an immersion visit to the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) Training School, located at Yaoundé-Nsimalen International Airport.

Both parties exchanged gifts

This visit was organised at the initiative of the MINDEF as part of bilateral military cooperation and was themed ‘Peace: the driving force behind national development’.

Led by Colonel William Mangwiro, the delegation of about 30 officers was given a detailed presentation on aviation security and facilitation in Cameroon. Particular emphasis was placed on all the mechanisms put in place by the CCAA to prevent threats, especially terrorism.

A strategic approach that focuses on the passenger experience was praised by all visitors. Subsequently, numerous questions were asked about crisis management, the legislative framework, technological collaborations and the training programmes offered by the CCAA.

A tour of the airport's key infrastructure was then conducted, a true illustration of Cameroon's commitment to maintaining world-class safety and security standards.

It should be noted that this visit was part of their academic training, providing an ideal opportunity for highly enriching expertise sharing.
