CCAA: Staff Training on Rapid Results Initiatives

The headquarters of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) at Air Base 101 in Mvan served as the venue on Thursday, January 22, 2026, for the launch of a training seminar focused on "Rapid Results Initiatives" (RRI). Through the activities of its Anti-Corruption Unit, the Aviation Authority aims to undergo a profound transformation of its working methods to eradicate administrative red tape while establishing a culture of immediate performance using the RRI methodology.
At the opening of the session, Mr. ALLABIRA MAMADOU, Deputy Director General of the CCAA and Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Unit, reiterated the urgency of initiating structural changes to improve overall governance. The goal is not only to raise staff awareness about the dangers of illicit practices but also to equip them with effective tools for real-time procedure evaluation.

Experts from the firm Environment For Life facilitated the training. The lead coach praised the CCAA's consistency in this fight. Indeed, the institution is not starting from scratch; the CCAA has organized multiple awareness campaigns over several years across various airport platforms to denounce and curb corrupt practices.

The presentations covered:
-The legal and institutional framework of Cameroon’s National Anti-Corruption Strategy.
-The SMART methodology (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Time-bound), which will guide future RRI action plans.

The General Management used this occasion to address a central issue: vendor and supplier satisfaction. During workshop sessions, focal points were encouraged to engage in a blunt self-assessment: "What is clogging the file processing circuit?" The objective is to identify bottlenecks to streamline processing procedures for service providers and guarantee payments or responses within short timeframes.

At the end of this two-day training, every member and focal point must implement an RRI roadmap within their respective departments.
-Duration: A 100-day mission to transform processes.
-Monitoring: Mid-term evaluations will be conducted at key stages to ensure the achievement of expected results.

By betting on RRIs, the CCAA reaffirms its commitment to shifting from an "administration of procedures" to an "administration of results," where the fight against corruption remains a top priority.
