As part of the implementation of the principles and provisions of the convention International Civil Aviation Convention signed in Chicago on December 7, 1944, and its 12th annex on Search and Rescue (SAR) of aircrafts in distress, which prescribes cooperation between states parties, on the one hand, and in view of consolidate their cooperation relations and establishing mutual assistance in search and rescue on the other hand, Cameroon and some countries in the sub-region have engaged in negotiations on cooperation agreements in the SAR area since 2016.

The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has launched a call for tender (2019/20 / P 102940) for the post of Director of Air Transport. The selected candidate will be classified in category D-2 in the United Nations System.

Mrs. ALIMATOU KONE NGOUH has been solemnly installed July 10, 2019 at the first conference room of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) by Mr. ALLABIRA MAMADOU, Deputy Director General of the institution.

Following its application at the Yaounde international airport, security measures will soon be implemented by the Airport Security Unit (ASU) at the Douala International Airport.
