Cameroon and Canada sign bilateral air services agreement

The agreement was signed on June 1, 2022 between the Cameroonian Minister of Transport Jean Ernest Masséna NGALLE BIBEHE and the Canadian High Commissioner, His Excellency Richard Bale in the presence of the General Managers of ADC, Camair-Co and the Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority CCAA.
The signing of this agreement which was initialed on December 17, 2017 in Colombo, Sri Lanka during the tenth ICAO Conference on Air Services negotiations will thus strengthen the cooperation ties between the two countries, and will contribute to the development of the civil aviation industry through the opening of new commercial opportunities between the airlines of the two countries.
This will also facilitate the movement of people, and thus contribute to drive economic growth, tourism and related activities between Cameroon and Canada.
It should be noted that the national airline of Cameroon is already collaborating with Bombardier Canada in strengthening its fleet. And, Canada is the headquarters of the International Civil Aviation Organization, which is a constant hub of exchange between all member countries of the Organization.
Among the personalities present at the signing ceremony were the Secretaries General of the Minister of External Relations, Transport, Tourism and Leisure, the Deputy Director General of the CCAA and several officials of the Ministry of Transport.
