Two Awards for Madam the Director General in Accra
Madam AVOMO ASSOUMOU Paule KOKI has on October 20,2018 received two prizes in the "agencies and regulatory bodies’ “ category at national and regional levels in the capital city of Ghana, at a ceremony organized by a South African media corporation -CEO Global Magazine.
A Pan-African jury set up by the organizers after a systematic selection process , declared Madam the Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) winner of 2 prizes - « Africa’s most influential woman in business and government, Regional Winner Central Africa 2018/2019 » and ,“Africa’s most influential woman in business and government, Country winner Central Africa 2018/2019”
A double crown at the national level and in the sub-region of Central Africa, awarded on the basis of criteria such as: Leadership, contribution to sector development, resource development and sustainable management and most especially hard work.
According to the organizers, Madam KOKI is of the class of female regulatory body heads who strive daily to productively discharge their duties, which all translating in the proper functioning structures and visible dynamism at work.
During the award of prizes, the organizers enjoined all winners to work relentlessly, go the extra mile in their different sectors, keep a good reputation and seek opportunities to transfer skills.
Several guests and nominees turned out for the event from South Africa, Ghana, Cameroon, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of the Congo -DRC, Kenya and Ethiopia with winners of the Africa category coming from Botswana and Cameroon only.
Besides the award presentations, participants discussed at length about free trade agreement between African states. The nominees were also enjoined to take part in a networking session during which they discussed contemporary issues affecting Africa.
CEO Global extended an invitation to prize-winners of the various regions of Africa, to take part in an official dinner on November 24, 2018 in South Africa.
CEO Global is a South Africa based media corporation which produces the magazine monthly “CEO magazine” and three other specialized magazines- « Africa’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government », « Women in Motion » and « Titans-Building Nations ».
Since 2000, Global CEO has been awarding distinctions to male and female company directors in the private and public sectors in Africa, in recognition of their contributions to the development of various sectors such as finance, regulation, agriculture, education and Information Technology (IT). During their trip in Ghana the DG and accompanying staff also conducted a working visit to the Ghana Civil Aviation Training Academy (GATA).
