On Monday May 25, 2020 the first Air France flight AF982 landed at the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport where all passengers arriving from Paris were managed along a carefully planned and supervised sanitary circuit within the airport.
The Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority has initiated a series of consultations with the ADC, ASECNA and administrations concerned with the processing and control of commercial flights in order to set up a safe supervision mechanism.
A Cameroonian delegation led by the Minister of Transport held consultations which led to the signing of a bilateral air agreement between Cameroon and the United Arab Emirates on March 10, 2020 in Dubai.
With special authorization, and in collaboration with the government (MINREX, MINT and MINAT), the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) has, as from March 18, 2020 to date, facilitated the repatriation of many compatriots and the return of some foreigners to their respective countries in this time of health crisis through "special flights".
