The Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) held its first quarterly security review workshop of the year from March 12 to 14, 2026, at the Nsimalen Training School. The objective of this workshop was to evaluate aviation safety performance in Cameroon and to identify priority and emerging threats as part of a proactive approach aimed at anticipating risks before they escalate into accidents.
Aviation Safety: Capacity Building for Conducting Safety Studies
The CCAA organized this training session from March 16 to 20, 2026, at its Training School (EFO) to equip sector professionals with tools to identify potential risks induced by the numerous changes that can occur in civil aviation and to propose adequate mitigation measures.
Cameroon and Nigeria Sign Bilateral Agreement on Search and Rescue Operations for Aircraft in Distress
The Minister of Transport of Cameroon, Mr. Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallè Bibéhé, and his Nigerian counterpart, Minister of Aviation Festus Keyamo, signed a bilateral Search and Rescue (SAR) agreement this Friday, February 27, 2026, in Yaoundé. This protocol aims to dismantle administrative barriers and pool logistical resources between the two states to provide aid to aircraft in distress on both sides of the border.

Lejeune MBELLA MBELLA, officially took possession of the new premises provided by the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA) on Wednesday, February 18, 2025. Located within the Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) building at Yaoundé-Nsimalen International Airport, this initiative is part of a sustained effort to modernize consular services and enhance the reception of foreign dignitaries across Cameroon’s airport platforms.
