The 42nd Session of the Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) opened on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, in Montreal. During the second plenary meeting, delegates elected the Bureau responsible for conducting the proceedings on the major challenges facing international civil aviation.
The Cameroonian Delegation Visits the President of the ICAO Council
Led by the High Commissioner of Cameroon to Canada, Mr. Philippe NGOLLE NGWESE, who was accompanied by Ms. Paule Assoumou Koki, Director General of the CCAA, the Cameroonian delegation was received on 25 September 2025 by Mr. Salvatore Sciacchitano, the President of the Council, accompanied by Mr. Juan Carlos Salazar, Secretary General of ICAO.
Cameroon’s aviation security performance honoured by ICAO
The continuous efforts undertaken by Cameroon to conform to civil aviation security standards have been recognized through the President's Certificate, which was presented to Ms. Paule ASSOUMOU KOKI, Director General of the CCAA, on behalf of Cameroon, on 23 September 2025 in Montreal, by the President of the ICAO Council, Mr. Salvatore Sciacchitano.
Cooperation agreements to increase EFO CCAA training offers signed in Montreal
Mrs. Paule Assoumou KOKI, Director General of the Cameroon Civil Aviation Authority (CCAA), signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoU), one with ICAO and the other with the Singapore Aviation Academy, respectively on September 24 and 25, 2025, on behalf of the CCAA Training School EFO CCAA, in Montreal. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the High Commissioner of Cameroon to Canada, Mr. Philippe NGOLLE NGWESE.
The 42nd ICAO Assembly Session Focuses on “Connectivity and Infrastructure Development
The President of the Council of the Organization, Mr. Salvatore Sciacchitano, reiterated this key focus on September 23, 2025 during the opening ceremony of the major triennial event for international civil aviation in Montreal. The ceremony was attended by over 4,000 delegates from the Organization’s 193 Member States that comprise this specialized agency of the United Nations.
